Sandy McGhee began his affiliation with the IAFF thru Local 176 in 1983, when he hired on with the Tulsa Fire Department. Sandy's service began as a Grievance Committee researcher in 1990, and he continued to serve on the Grievance Committee until 2000, the last seven years of which he presided as Chairman. Sandy also served on the Human Relations Committee (1998); the Negotiations Committee (1994-2004) and as Executive Vice President (1997). Sandy was elected as D4VP in 1993, and served in that position until 2000, when he was elected L-176 President. Sandy served as Union President until 2004. A joint Labor/Management Partnership with the Tulsa Fire Department was initiated under Sandy's leadership as Union President. Sandy served as PFFO 1st District Vice-President from 2001-2004, and as IAFF Oklahoma State Representative from 2003-2004.
Sandy was elected as IAFF District 11VP in 2004, and is currently serving his second term. Sandy serves Oklahoma, Texas and the Panama Canal Zone, and is often traveling to visit Locals in need. Sandy is one of those guys that is tuned in to his membership. If you call him, he will call you back... If you e-mail him, he will e-mail you back, despite his busy schedule.
